Colmore Business District is recruiting Board Directors

An exciting opportunity has arisen for two people to join the Colmore BID Board.  Our Directors form a non-executive Board which is responsible for setting the strategy and direction of the BID, as well as monitoring the work of the Colmore BID team.

The vacancies have become available at one of the most exciting times in the life-cycle of a BID.  As we start to formulate our BID 3 Business Plan, in advance of our ballot in 2018, these directors will play a key role in setting the strategy and direction for the BID, and for the District in general.

The Colmore BID Board aims to represent the variety of businesses in the district.  The two available vacancies cover the following industry categories:

      • Property Owners / Developers
      • Small Business (SME) Owners

In addition to matching one of these categories, applicants must also be a business within the Colmore BID Boundary, and must already be paying the BID Levy.

Michele Wilby, Executive Director of Colmore Business District, said

“Our Board of Directors are a key part in the work that we do at Colmore Business District.  They help to ensure that we strike the right balance in delivering projects across all of our sectors.  They also help to ensure that businesses get the most benefit from being part of a business improvement district.

Joining the Board at this time will help to give us a fresh perspective on what businesses needs from us in the remaining years of our second term.  As we move towards our third term, they will help us to build on our successes over the last 8 years to make sure we can deliver for businesses in the long term”

To express an interest in either of the available positions, please contact Michele Wilby: by Friday 26th May.
