Colmore Business District was proud to hold its very own community games event in July, with a day of fun-filled activities provided by England HockeyBritish Rowing and Ping! Table TennisCommunity Games provide a great opportunity to get the local community together to take part in sporting and cultural activities inspired by, and in celebration of, the London 2012 Olympic and Paralympic Games.

Live music opened the event, provided by reggae, blues, ska and rock n roll band – The Broombusters.  Independent business, At One Day Spa provided free of charge sports massages for participants and guests to the event.

5-aside rush hockey tournaments took place with teams from the CBD business community from 12pm to 4.30pm.  Over 20 organisations signed up with teams. The confirmed teams were:

The winners of the tournaments were West Midlands Police, Ernst & Young and IDEX Consulting LLP.

Prizes were kindly donated by The Jekyll & HydeMetro Bar & Grill and All Bar One.
