Cycle to Work Day 2017
Cycle to Work Day is a national campaign that has been running since 2013, and was set up to encourage people across the UK to get on their bike and give cycle commuting a go for one day.
This year the date is Wednesday 13th September. Birmingham City Council is supporting the campaign, and they are encouraging everyone to take part. The idea is that you cycle to work, and pledge the miles you cycle that day. Anyone who pledges cycling miles for the day will be entered in to a free draw!
To make a pledge and to find out more about the prizes on offer, please visit www.cycletoworkday.org . You will also find free resources and ideas to help employers promote Cycle to Work Day.
If your organisation, cycling group or group of friends are thinking of doing anything special to celebrate Cycle To Work day, Birmingham City Council would like to hear from you. Take a photo, share your story and they’ll share it on social media!
The campaign has the support of cycling advocacy groups such as Cycling UK, British Cycling, Sustrans, Cyclescheme, the Bicycle Association, and Cycle Nation.
