Couch to 5km Beginners Running Group
Since November 2015 we have been working with Run Birmingham to hold running groups for colleagues in the District.
Our most popular group is the 'Couch to 5km' group, which takes those who are completely inactive to running a 5km distance over a nine-week period.
A qualified leader from Run Birmingham will meet you every Wednesday lunchtime to guide you through the nine-week training plan each week, offer support and keep you motivated. At the first session we’ll start will a short briefing and tell you a bit about what to expect at the sessions and what routes we’ll be taking, then we’ll get started!
This new session starts on Wednesday 26th April at 12.30pm and will take place weekly. You will need suitable clothing and some enthusiasm!
Please complete and return the registration form to me via email before your first session. We can then get you set up on the system and you can track your progress. Eventually you’ll be able to log in to each session with a fob. (Provided by Run Birmingham.)
Remember, it is a club for beginners and you will be walking / jogging at your own pace with the support of your leader who will motivate and encourage you.
