Homelessness Awareness Training

Colmore BID has teamed up with Sifa Fireside Insights to deliver training for employees in Colmore Business District on Homelessness.

Street Homelessness has visibly increased over the last two years, and the rate of rough sleeping in Birmingham is four times the national average.

Colmore BID wants to help business in the District gain a better understanding of this pressing issue. Sifa Fireside, our nominated charity, have provided services to rough sleepers in the city for 35 years. They have drawn on their considerable experience to develop Sifa Fireside Insights; a series of courses, delivered by a qualified trainer with a practitioner background in addiction recovery and homelessness.

Colmore BID has invited Sifa Fireside to deliver a short course for businesses. This two hour course will help businesses to learn more about the complexities of homelessness and to help to equip people with the skills to take positive action around the issue.

Sifa Fireside will be delivering this training after work on the following dates:

  • 22 June
  • 29 June
  • 6 July
  • 13 July
