BIRMINGHAM CITY CENTRE PARTNERSHIP
Birmingham City Centre Partnership (BCCP) was formed in 2001 to bring together key public and private sector organisations in Birmingham, ‘to create a world class city centre for Birmingham.’ BCCP is dedicated to improving the city centre environment and to assist in co-ordinating and developing events and visitor services.
Birmingham Forward is an inclusive, independent, not for profit membership organisation, established in 1990 that welcomes firms, partnerships and individuals from the business and professional services sectors.
Birmingham Future is Birmingham’s leading membership organisation for young professionals working in the professional, financial and creative services sectors. The profile of its members is diverse, ranging from associates and trainees to directors and partners.
BIRMINGHAM RESILIENCE TEAM
The Birmingham Resilience Team (BRT) is made up of officers from Birmingham City Council, the Police and Fire Services, and the National Health Service (NHS). The team is hosted by Birmingham City Council and based in the Council House.
BRT has responsibility for:
•planning and responding to different types of emergencies and business disruptions, including natural events, major accidents and malicious attacks;
•warning and informing communication systems and processes for the public and businesses to increase pre emergency preparedness, communication during emergencies and post emergency to support recovery;
•provision of specialist advice and support to colleagues to enable council wide compliance with statutory resilience duties.

Businessbirmingham is Marketing Birmingham’s campaign to promote Birmingham as the most attractive city in Europe in which to do business.
Centro, the West Midlands Integrated Transport Authority, promotes and develops public transport across the region. Its aim is to transform public transport so that people of the West Midlands have a world class system provided by a best in class organisation.
PERSONAL EXECUTIVE ASSISTANT REGIONAL SOCIETY (PEARS)
Pears – the Personal Executive Assistant Regional Society – was founded by Olivia Harris at Brindleyplace in June 2004 to recognise the integral role Personal Assistants play in the overall success of businesses across the professional services community. The Society organises six events annually to provide networking opportunities for its membership.
At the beginning of 2011, Brindleyplace collaborated with the Business Improvement Districts in Birmingham city centre to expand and improve the society for its members and to attract new members and venues. Pears will now be run by Colmore Business District, Retail BID and Broad Street BID. Each BID will organise two events a year.
Marketing Birmingham is the city’s public/private sector strategic marketing partnership that is the driving force behind the growth of Birmingham’s visitor economy, its growing reputation and is the new impetus behind the inward investment strategy for the city.
