Colmore BID Smashes 24-Hour Cycling Challenge for Children’s Liver Disease Foundation
08 March 2025
Colmore BID has successfully completed an incredible 24-hour cycling challenge, raising over £500 to support the Children’s Liver Disease Foundation.
The challenge, held on #BigYellowFriday (7 March), saw our dedicated team push through the challenge with immense determination and spirit.
A special shoutout goes to our Senior Community Support Officer Zack, who cycled an astonishing 13 out of the 24 hours, showing true grit and perseverance. The remaining hours were covered by our fantastic Board team and Colmore BID colleagues, each contributing their time and energy to ensure we reached our goal.

The 24-hour bike ride would not have been possible without the generous support of our community. Huge thanks to Jimmy at PureGym Snow Hill for allowing us to use their bikes and space – your kindness made this event possible! We also want to extend our gratitude to Willpower Gym Store at Great Western Arcade for donating essential fitness supplies that kept us going throughout the challenge. Not only that, but they also got on the bike themselves, cycling for 30 minutes to show their support.
Total Miles Cycled: 327.4
Total Amount Raised: £525.00
But the fundraising efforts don’t stop here! Our wonderful friends at Interface HQ held another exciting fundraiser. Led by Sophie Bosworth, Interface HQ Birmingham dressed and ate all things yellow. The charity supports Sophie’s niece, Nellie who has just turned three, and has been in the care of the charity since she was four months old.
A huge thank you to Nellie and the Interface team, who came along to cheer us on during our 24-hour ride. Your encouragement kept spirits high and motivated us to keep pedalling!

The Children’s Liver Disease Foundation are the only UK charity for children, young people and adults affected by all liver conditions. Their helpline and support services help thousands of people every year, and they campaign to raise awareness of all liver diseases.
We’re incredibly proud of what we’ve achieved together and grateful for all the support we’ve received. If you’d still like to donate, you can do so via our JustGiving page here.
