Dishoom Marks 15 Years with Free Dishes and 25 Million Meals Donated

11 September 2025

This September, beloved UK-Indian restaurant Dishoom is celebrating its 15th anniversary with a generous gesture for diners and a major charitable milestone. From 15 – 30 September, Dishoom cafés nationwide will host fifteen days of surprise free dishes, one revealed each day on Instagram, for guests dining in.

Since opening its first Covent Garden café in 2010, Dishoom has become a staple for all-day dining, offering breakfast favourites like the Bacon Naan Roll, vibrant lunch salads, and shared evening plates reminiscent of Bombay’s old Irani cafés. Each restaurant blends the city’s warmth with its own unique character, creating a space for friends and families to gather and celebrate.

The anniversary also highlights Dishoom’s decade-long charitable efforts. Over ten years, the restaurant has donated 25 million meals to children in need through partnerships with Magic Breakfast in the UK and The Akshaya Patra Foundation in India, ensuring nutritious meals help children reach their full potential in school.

The “meal for a meal” initiative, which began as Dishoom’s Ramadan zakat in 2015, now also includes contributions from every Naan Roll Kit sold for home cooking and meals served at its Brighton Permit Room location.

Dishoom’s 15th birthday is a celebration of food, community, and giving back, inviting guests to enjoy surprises at the table while acknowledging the ongoing work to fight childhood food poverty in the UK and India.

Dishoom, Birmingham is located in Colmore Business District at One Chamberlain Square. For daily free dish reveals and bookings, visit Dishoom’s Instagram.
