Birmingham Business Leaders Invited to Inspire the Next Generation as Judges for Next Generation Awards
02 October 2025
Birmingham-based business professionals are being invited to take part as judges in this year’s Next Generation Awards, an initiative that celebrates and encourages young talent across the city. The programme is seeking senior figures from the business community who are passionate about education and inspiring the next generation of leaders.
The opportunity is flexible, allowing judges to contribute according to their availability. School-based assessments are scheduled by individual schools, and each session typically takes around an hour, plus travel time. Assessors are paired with experienced colleagues and follow clear criteria to ensure fair and meaningful evaluations. While judges will not be alone with students, a DBS check is preferred.
Organisers are particularly keen to welcome professionals who reflect Birmingham’s diversity, providing pupils with role models from a range of communities. The programme is open to anyone with a strong connection to business in Birmingham and an interest in motivating young people.
The final day for this year’s assessment cycle is 16 October, with planning underway for the forthcoming year—making it an ideal time for new assessors to get involved.
