“Buggies 4 Brum” Campaign
08 December 2025
With child poverty in Birmingham reaching alarming levels, affecting 46% of children — over 104,000 young residents – the “Buggies 4 Brum” initiative is calling on the community to help families in crisis.
The campaign, run in partnership with the Safe Sleep Scheme, provides essential support to families with children under five who are struggling to access buggies and prams. Professionals working with vulnerable families have highlighted an urgent need for both single and double buggies, as well as newborn prams.
Community members can contribute by donating preloved buggies or prams, which charity partners will repair and refresh as needed. Financial contributions are also welcomed to help purchase new buggies in bulk and support employment opportunities in the local area.
