Colmore Business District is proud to announce they have partnered with NatWest for an exclusive event aimed at supporting young people from disadvantaged backgrounds in their journey toward employment.

This event will be hosted on Wednesday 27 November, which will see LTSB participants take part in a workshop and mock interviews.

As part of this collaboration, NatWest and Colmore BID are hosting a panel event where young people will hear firsthand from leaders across various sectors. This will be followed by mock interviews led by NatWest volunteers, providing participants with invaluable interview experience in a real-world setting. The day will conclude with a purpose-finding workshop, designed to inspire and guide attendees in aligning their career goals with their values.

“At NatWest, we’re committed to empowering the next generation by helping young people develop skills that will open doors to future success and help them thrive,” said Nazma Ghafoor, Apprenticeships Manager, Early Talent. “Our partnership with LTSB is part of our broader mission to support employment opportunities for individuals from all backgrounds, and we’re thrilled to play a role in this important initiative.”

LTSB provides education, mentoring, and work experience for young people from underrepresented communities to support their journey to meaningful employment. NatWest, an ongoing supporter of the LTSB programme, regularly offers employment opportunities to LTSB graduates, reinforcing its commitment to building an inclusive workforce.

Adella Brown, Birmingham Employment Manager at LTSB, commented: “We are incredibly grateful for NatWest’s commitment to our young people. This partnership goes beyond financial support – it’s about empowering lives. NatWest’s commitment to offering employment opportunities and valuable, hands-on experiences is instrumental in our mission to create a fairer society.”
