During darker nights and festive delights, this seminar focuses on personal safety awareness & acting responsibly in public venues & areas

In the 6-week lead up to Christmas and New Year, Colmore BID delivers it’s ‘Safer Nights Out’ campaign to make sure everyone who works or visits the Colmore Business District feels welcome and safe.

Understanding how you can keep yourself safe is a key factor of enjoying a ‘safer nights out’ experience.

Behaving otherwise could potentially result in gross misconduct action leading to sanctions or dismissal. More serious allegations may result in criminal prosecution.

A few practical and sensible measures can help to ensure everyone enjoys theselves and stays safe.

This seminar aims to inform, educate and advise attendees about various threat and risk scenarios and how these can be mitigated through applying simple and pragmatic considerations.

Attendees will hear from guest speakers about how Colmore BID works with partner organisations to deliver effective and sustainable ways to keep people safe.

The importance of being situationally aware of your environment (venues or public spaces) cannot be overstated. Attendees will also learn about resources (physical and digital) that can help to prevent, deter or respond to keep people safe.
