COVID-19 Coronavirus Update – A message from our Chair

18 March 2020

The Government has, this week, rapidly increased its timetable of advising people to engage in “Social Distancing” measures to reduce the impact of the COVID-19 Coronavirus. As businesses consider their own response, we want to update businesses in the District on how Colmore BID intends to respond in the coming weeks.

In line with the advice from the Government on 16 March 2020, the office team will be working from home as far as practical. Staff will no longer be attending external meetings in person, however, we will continue to be available by phone and for online meetings. We will also not be holding meetings in our office.

We are keeping a keen eye on Government advice and will be cancelling / postponing our events as appropriate. Further announcements in relation to this will take place in due course.

The Colmore BID Street Operations Service will continue to run as long as is reasonably practical. We will continue to consider the Government’s guidance and take advice from our partners within the city. We will inform businesses prior to the implementation of any decision to withdraw our service. Until that time, the Duty Number will continue to be available. If you require assistance from the team please call 101. In an emergency, always dial 999.

Updated factual advice and information will continue to be shared by Colmore BID. You can keep up to date by subscribing to Colmore Life Bitesize and our Resilience emails. To join the mailing list, please email info@colmorebid.co.uk. Information will also be shared via our social media channels: Twitter, Facebook and Linkedin
