Birmingham, B3 3BX
A consultation event is being held for business owners, tenants, developers and architects to discuss the Birmingham Heritage Strategy.
Are you a local business or tenant working in a historic building or conservation area? Is your business in a key regeneration area of the district? Are you interested in the heritage of Birmingham and the wider district? Are you part of a key organisation such as a local Business Improvement District or Local Enterprise Partnership? Are you a developer or architect working within the district and dealing with heritage assets or a site in a conservation area?
If so you are invited to attend a consultation event to discuss opportunities and aspirations for the renewed heritage strategy over the next 10 years.
The renewed strategy aims to be a robust but flexible framework for co-operation between the city council and all those active in supporting local heritage and your input regarding these aspects is sought. Birmingham City Council are reviewing their adopted Heritage Strategy 2014-2019, the outcome will;
- Provide a framework and context for how the city preserves, priorities, encourages participation in and promotion of the city’s heritage
- Reflect the latest and predicted context / environment for the sustainability and development of the heritage sector in the city
- Support and guide partners involved in sustaining Birmingham’s rich heritage.
- Integrate with key stakeholders overall vision and transformation plans for the city
Taking place over the next three weeks the consultation aims to find out people’s thoughts about heritage, its role in Birmingham and the wider district and key aspirations and priorities for the City over the next 10 years. Responses to the consultation will inform and shape the content of the renewed strategy.
