An Evening with a Football Legend for Cure Leukaemia

21 October 2025
18:00 - 21:00
Birmingham B3 2DF, UK

The Sporting Club will host a spectacular evening of football nostalgia, laughter, and fundraising – all in aid of Cure Leukaemia – at its brand-new Birmingham venue, The Metro Club.

Guests will have the rare opportunity to meet one of British football’s most beloved goalkeepers, Ben Foster, a former Manchester United star with two League Cup triumphs, who also lifted the trophy with Birmingham City, and enjoyed memorable spells at Watford, West Bromwich Albion, and Wrexham. His remarkable journey includes becoming a central figure in the “This is Wrexham” story alongside Ryan Reynolds and Rob McElhenney, helping guide the club back into the Football League. Today, he continues to make waves as the voice behind the hugely popular Fozcast podcast.

This exclusive evening promises superb networking opportunities, with drinks and refreshments provided, and the chance to connect with prominent figures from the worlds of business and sport. Most importantly, the event supports Cure Leukaemia, the Birmingham-based charity funding life-saving clinical trials and pioneering treatments for blood cancer patients across the UK.

As The Sporting Club continues its exciting expansion nationwide, the Birmingham launch heralds a new era of premium events that unite professionals, celebrate sporting excellence, and champion charitable causes.

Date: Tuesday 21 October
Location: The Metro Club, Birmingham, B3 2DF

Whether a football enthusiast, business leader, or supporter of vital medical research, attendees can expect an unforgettable evening blending entertainment, networking, and philanthropy — all for a truly worthy cause.
