Jewellery Quarter based mixed-use property developer, Blackswan Property, has appointed integrated communications and creative agency Digital Glue to support their vision of becoming one of Birmingham’s most highly-regarded mixed-use developers.

Priding itself on blending ‘innovative and aspirational design with professional, detailed delivery’, with a strong emphasis on regeneration developments and heritage sites, Blackswan Property has earnt the reputation of being involved in high quality projects since its inception in 2009 by Marcus Hawley.

Carving out an impressive reputation in the Midlands as a developer which combines old and new elements of building restoration and renovation with intricate detail, Blackswan Property creates a new lease of life for spaces, whilst respecting what came before.

Blackswan Property’s most notable developments can be found in the Jewellery Quarter:
  • Gilders Yard, a £28 million regeneration project on Great Hampton Street which will transform a Grade II* listed jewellery factory into 157 apartments
  • Hockley Mills  is a £110 million PRS led mixed-use development, made up of six different buildings reimagined for living, leisure and working
  • Presently in the design phase, The Lamp Works development will be different in style to the two previously mentioned projects, but continue to retain the unique and historic character of the Jewellery Quarter in the creation of 126 apartments and 7,000 square foot of commercial space

With a number of exciting and exclusive ventures being planned for next year, Blackswan Property believes now is the perfect time to work with Digbeth-based Digital Glue to strengthen its presence in the property industry, and amplify its reputation as a leading and innovative developer by not only driving investment back into the city they love to call home, but to push its brand beyond the Midlands.

In May 2019, Birmingham City Council approved plans by Blackswan Property for a Grade II listed pub in the Jewellery Quarter, previously known as The Gothic, to be transformed into apartments, restaurants and offices, aiding the company’s vision for the site to be the perfect gateway into the Jewellery Quarter.

Simone Griffiths, Marketing and Strategy Director at Blackswan Property, said: “Our vision is to become one of Birmingham’s most highly regarded and well-known mixed-use developers, and we’re very confident that partnering with Digital Glue will help achieve this. Together, with our combined knowledge and second-to-none understanding of the city and its heritage, we couldn’t be more excited to really start showcasing our work and upcoming projects in the Jewellery Quarter, Birmingham, and beyond.”
