Last chance for sixth form and university students to join free virtual work experience in communications

12 February 2021

Birmingham and Channel Islands based communications consultancy Liquid, is hosting virtual work experience for sixth form and university students so that they can gain an understanding and experience of PR, social and digital marketing, despite the lockdown restrictions in place due to Covid-19.

Taking place on the 15th and 17th February respectively, the sessions ‘An Introduction to PR’ and ‘An Introduction to Social and Digital’ are both endorsed and certified by the Public Relations and Communications Association (PRCA), giving participants both valuable insights and a certificate as proof of participation.

Spaces are still available for both virtual work experience events, with room for 300 students from across the country to attend each session. Hosted by Liquid’s junior team in Birmingham, the sessions aim to provide useful career insights and help students navigate the challenges of gaining work experience during the current pandemic.

Liquid CEO, Elisabeth Lewis-Jones, said: “2020 and 2021 have been challenging years for everyone and we are proud to support our young people in these times of uncertainty.

“Covid has impacted many work placements and work experience opportunities and we are pleased to offer our own virtual sessions to support those looking to join the profession. Giving back means a lot to our team and nurturing new talent is an integral part of who we are as an organisation.”

Spaces to the virtual work experience are still available, and students can sign up to the sessions via Eventbrite. Register for ‘An Introduction to PR’ here and ‘An Introduction to Social and Digital’ here.
