PINSENT MASONS FOUNDATION SPONSORS PERFORMING ARTS SCHOOL RENOVATION
The Pinsent Masons Foundation, the charitable trust supported by International law firm Pinsent Masons, has donated £2500 to Castle Vale School in support of the renovation of the School’s drama room.
Castle Vale, which is a specialist performing arts school, is one of a number of schools which Pinsent Masons has partnered through its ‘inspiring young lives’ community investment programme. The firm has actively supported the School for a number of years; running a career mentoring programme and an innovative mediation skills training programme. Recently, the firm was involved in a volunteering programme alongside staff from Birmingham City Council on a team challenge to paint the drama room.
Pinsent Masons is one of the first companies in the region to commit to Business in the Community’s Business Class initiative which brings businesses together to support schools collaboratively.
Kate Fergusson, CR Manager at Pinsent Masons said: “Our school partnerships are at the heart of our community investment programme and we are pleased to be able to support Castle Vale in improving the working environment for students and teachers. We believe in working collaboratively with other organisations on community investment and this has been hugely beneficial for our partner schools and our people.”
Trevor Evans, Performing Arts Manager at Castle Vale Performing Arts College said: “The day provided us with a fantastic opportunity to transform a classroom in a day. It was no easy task but a fantastic team effort from all involved and the subsequent donation from the Pinsent Masons Foundation to allow us to finish the room with a brand new carpet will leave a legacy for countless students to enjoy creating fantastic drama in.”
