Travel during lockdown

Like many things, the way in which we travel to and from the city during lockdown has changed dramatically and as more and more people re-enter the city, the guidance in place may change again.

The region’s transport providers have altered timetables to enable a safer journey for commuters. Some trainlines and bus routes are now operating reduced timetables, with restrictions on seating. Before making any journeys, we would advise that you check with your provider to see how your journey may be affected.

Face Coverings

As of June 15, face coverings on public transport is now mandatory. Passengers who do not wear the appropriate coverings risk being refused travel or even a penalty fine.

If you can’t find face masks in your local store or online, the government has released a guide on how to make appropriate coverings using materials that can be found in your home.

Parking

During lockdown, parking charges were temporarily paused in many locations across the city, however these will be re-introduced as of June 15. Below you will find a list of car parks that are currently open within Colmore Business District in addition to on-street parking.
