New city centre venue is recipe for business growth

20 January 2020

Leading integrated PR consultancy, Liquid, has created a premium venue and aspirational office space at New Oxford House, Waterloo Street, in central Birmingham, featuring collaborative working spaces and a stunning bespoke luxury kitchen.

Perfect for filming, photography, food styling, recipe development and hospitality, the kitchen has been designed to meet the growing demand of Liquid’s food sector for creative content. Expertly handcrafted from natural timber, with a hand-painted finish, the state-of-the-art kitchen space includes WiFi-enabled smart ovens, solid surface composite worktops, and even a wine cooler.

In the new year, Liquid will use the kitchen to develop, photograph and produce a new cookbook for Maple from Canada, an initiative representing over 11,300 maple syrup producers from Quebec.

The spacious new office also includes creative ‘break-out’ areas, a team theatre, yoga space, boardroom and environmentally-themed meeting room with a foliage feature wall, designed to inspire! This investment in high specification city-centre facilities will help future-proof the business and make Liquid the place to be in 2020 and beyond.

Liquid’s chief executive Lis Lewis-Jones said: “The new office and development kitchen, in the heart of Birmingham’s vibrant Colmore Business District are vital to our plans for further growth. We wanted to create a beautiful space to inspire our team and deliver a really aspirational workplace that people would enjoy working in. Even our flooring is carbon neutral! Our in-house creative team will be able to create highly engaging images and films for our PR clients, while our own chef director and hospitality team will be developing new complementary services and offers for our corporate clients in the new year.”

Liquid’s chef director, David Colcombe, added: “Having launched my own high-end restaurants in the past, I’m very aware of the importance of creating a warm, welcoming environment that both staff and clients can enjoy. I have a vision that my Chef’s Table could become a hub for city-centre businesses, offering high-spec boardroom facilities with exceptional contemporary cuisine or cookery masterclasses. We worked closely with a fantastic interior design team, DP Designs, and the talented craftsmen from Neptune, our kitchen provider, to tailor the space to our exact requirements. Together we have delivered a relaxed, luxury kitchen environment that we are all very proud to call our home.”

Liquid has offices in Birmingham, Jersey, Guernsey and London and features in the authoritative PRWeek national “Top 150” consultancy list.
