Birmingham communications consultancy re-launches free virtual work experience
08 February 2022
Birmingham-based communications consultancy, Liquid, is re-launching its virtual work experience for sixth form and university students. The sessions give students across the UK the opportunity to gain an understanding of PR, social, and digital marketing in snapshot, 2-hour sessions.
Taking place on the 21st and 22nd February respectively, the sessions ‘An Introduction to PR’ and ‘An Introduction to Social and Digital’ are both endorsed and certified by the Public Relations and Communications Association (PRCA), giving participants both valuable insights and a certificate as proof of participation.
Spaces are still available for both virtual work experience events, with room for 300 students from across the country to attend each session. Hosted by Liquid’s junior team, the sessions aim to provide useful career insights and help students navigate the challenges of gaining work experience.
Liquid CEO, Elisabeth Lewis-Jones, said: “Liquid is proud to have a strong junior team and we’re keen to support more young people in their journey to starting a career in the communications industry.
“We appreciate that finding work placements and work experience opportunities can be extremely competitive, so we’re pleased to offer our own virtual sessions which give everybody a chance to learn and grow. Giving back means a lot to our team and nurturing new talent is an integral part of who we are.
“Our last virtual sessions were a great success, with 240 students attending, so we can’t wait to welcome lots of eager-to-learn students to these additional sessions.”
Spaces to the virtual work experience are still available, and students can sign up to the sessions via Eventbrite. Register for ‘An Introduction to PR’ here and ‘An Introduction to Social and Digital’ here.
