18 May 2022
Integrated communications consultancy, Liquid, has been named third nationally for its public sector work in PR Week’s national ‘Top 150’ list of public relations consultancies.
This builds on two previous years’ ranking within the top five, as the consultancy improves its position by two placements, from 5th in 2021, to its strongest ever position within the prestigious list.
This year Liquid also ranked overall as the 24th biggest consultancy outside of London and 130th nationally.
Headquartered in Birmingham, with bases in Jersey, Guernsey and London, Liquid now holds the top consultancy spot for consultancies located within Birmingham city centre and the Channel Islands respectively.
Liquid’s chief executive officer, Elisabeth Lewis-Jones, said: “I am proud of what Liquid has achieved in the last year, expanding our public sector offering and adapting to the changing requirements facing the sector, as we slowly started emerging from the pandemic.
“The pressure on fees and demonstrating return on investment increased, and in response we have invested heavily in training to ensure our reporting and delivery remained strong. We have also introduced new services, including ecommerce and our ESG division to further meet the growing need for integration of services in the public sector.
“We’ve already seen a strong start to the year with numerous contract wins around Birmingham’s involvement with the Commonwealth Games and Festival, the British Transplant Games and the West Midlands Combined Authority. We remain positive as 2022 has also seen us expand our Birmingham office to include a media studio and a wellbeing centre for our team.”
PR Week which ranks PR companies by their fee income also showed a 27% increase in Liquid’s fee income from the public sector against the previous calendar year and a 12% increase to overall fee income. The firm also saw a 13% staff increase.
