Christmas Curated Market At Great Western Arcade

Great Western Arcade (GWA) will host a festive edition of their Curated Market series with a Christmas Market this Saturday 16 December, from 11am – 5pm. Featuring pop-up shops, live entertainment, a makers’ market and arts and crafts workshop, the free to attend event has something for all the family to get into the festive spirit.
Traders confirmed for the market include: whimsical handmade ceramics from White Willow Art; Blackbirds’ Micro Bakery will be offering award-winning local sourdough, cookies & cakes; Art prints, tiny frames and greeting cards inspired by vintage Japanese matchbox labels from Grumpy Daruma; local artist Karoline Rerrie will be on hand with gorgeous hand-printed cards, illustrations and screenprints; and handmade crochet creations and accessories from Maru Makes.
GWA stores will also be offering festive treats throughout the day including Hot Mulled Wine at Kuula Poke and Prosecco at Designer Exchange.
Visitors can also try their hand at the free* arts and crafts workshops on offer, where they can paint their own unique Christmas decorations to hang on the tree with Batik Ying, a Malaysian artist who will teach the intricacies of this beautiful and traditional art form. Enter into the festive spirit with Love Lane Brownies by decorating a delicious brownie with chocolate drizzles, sweet sprinkles and magical marshmallows.
Entertainment will be provided by the Ageing Well Community Choir (2pm performance), who will be hosting a Christmas Carols sing along and local artist M (3pm performance) who will be singing Christmas hits.
