Welcome to Birmingham: How to Network

Want to get a head start on building your professional network? TAG Network Midlands is hosting a bespoke training session to help new professionals master the art of networking through an interactive roleplay session, that will provide you with the nuances on joining conversations and adding value to discussions.

Networking can seem daunting at first but after this session, you will have developed a bank of skills in building rapport, boosting a professional brand, as well as ways to engage in new conversations and strategically move on to a new group of people.

Over the last two years we have been privileged to welcome new talent into Birmingham city centre, many of which will have joined their new roles during the Covid-19 pandemic and as a result were likely working from home.

After speaking with a number of partners and businesses we realised something needed to be done to support and welcome new professionals in the city. This could be to learn new skills, understand the benefits of networking or to meet up with like-minded individuals to create a social network.

This is why we have launched Welcome to Birmingham, 15 events across a week to welcome you to the city, offering you an opportunity to learn new skills, see new places and meet new people.
