Join Birmingham Cathedral for an evening of spoken word and poetry, celebrating the diversity of our city, our heritage and Birmingham Cathedral’s four remarkable stained-glass windows.

Poetry will be read by their poet-in-residence, Nafeesa Hamid, inspired by the work of Edward Burne-Jones, recently conserved for all to enjoy.

The team will also be launching the Tracing Glass podcast – bringing together voices from across the city to reflect on the themes of our windows, in collaboration with We Don’t Settle.  Guests will hear Persian poetry read by Iranian brothers and sisters, and other poetic voices from our region.

Refreshments will be provided.

Festival of Voices is free to attend. If you wish to make a donation towards the work of the cathedral, you can do this at the time of booking or via cash or card during the event.

To help with planning for numbers, including refreshments, please register for a ticket if you plan to attend. If you can no longer attend, please also cancel your ticket if you can.
