Joel Blake OBE is an Executive Advisor and Public Speaker. He is the founder of multi-award-winning fintech GFA Exchange, Board Advisor to Taranis Capital, an emerging global fintech investment fund, and Chair of Employability UK, a social mobility charity.
Birmingham-born Joel brings over 20 years of experience of advising professional services firms, global blue-chip corporates, business support bodies, and active investors on the development of inclusive business and finance solutions.
His work has helped fund over 700 diverse businesses, deployed over £200 million in SME finance, and led the development of inclusive innovation partnerships between global countries. His expertise in helping firms to ‘think outside the box’ to fuel growth has propelled him to guest lecture at several globally recognised business schools, facilitate conferences and events, and advise No 10 Downing Street business policy leads on UK inclusive business growth strategies.
In 2019, he was voted one of the Most Influential Black Voices in UK Tech by Tech Nation and was also awarded an OBE for Services to Business Support and Enterprise in 2016.
