Colmore BID‘s Place Marketing Working Group is excited to introduce the first of our Walking Tour events for 2025, the Colmore BID Art Walk!
Join us for a guided lunchtime art walk through the heart of Colmore Business District, designed especially for Colmore BID business members looking to take a break from their desks and immerse themselves in the city’s vibrant public art.

Starting Point: Iron Man, Victoria Square
Cost: Free to attend!
Led by our expert guide, Mike Mounfield, this walk will introduce you to some of Birmingham’s most iconic and thought-provoking artworks, each with its own story to tell:
- Iron : Man, Victoria Square – Begin with Antony Gormley’s striking sculpture, a symbol of Birmingham’s industrial past and artistic present.
- Thomas Attwood, Chamberlain Square – Meet the bronze statue of the political reformer, lounging casually as if still deep in thought.
- Birmingham School of Art – A glimpse into Birmingham’s artistic legacy at this historic building, which has shaped generations of creatives.
- Umbra, Church Street Square – Discover the contemporary elegance of Umbra, a piece that plays with light, shadows, and urban space.
- Livery Street Mural – Finish at this large-scale street artwork, celebrating Birmingham’s creative culture.
