Aquarius Life is the workplace support service delivered by Aquarius, a specialist behavioural change charity with over forty years’ experience helping people overcome the harms caused by mental ill health, alcohol, drugs and gambling.

When they do, managers often don’t know what to say and don’t have the specialist support on hand to manage needs effectively – because they haven’t had the necessary training and EAPs/Occupational Health rarely provide specialist input.
The Health and Safety Executive (HSE) estimates that:
- Substance misuse costs UK employers approximately £2 billion annually in lost productivity, accidents, and sickness absence.
- Up to 5% of workplace absences are caused by alcohol, with 17 million working days lost per year to alcohol related sickness.
- 25% of workplace accidents and 50% of workplace fatalities involve alcohol.
