Chinese New Year in Colmore

If you’re in the District on 1 February, you might notice a little bit of commotion in and around Colmore Row as you make your way into the office.

To kick off celebrations for Chinese New Year and raise awareness of this year’s virtual festival, traditional Lion Dancers will be taking to the streets in an array of vibrant colours. The dancers will commence their performance at Centenary Square at 8.30am, before moving through to Paradise and the Council House. They will arrive on Colmore Row at around 9.20am. If you can’t see them, we’re sure you’ll hear them coming.
