Disability Festival at Birmingham City University

This Disability Pride month, Ways for Wellbeing UK CIC are bringing Birmingham the first Disability Festival to Birmingham – celebrating all things Disability.

The Disability Festival will take place on Saturday 6 July 2024 at Birmingham City University – Curzon Street Campus.

Nabila Gardener, Ways For Wellbeing CIC said: “The day is going to be about how we can show that we are disabled but able to do our own thing whether that is in education or careers, and how we have identified something that is not available to us and have decided to make it or deliver it for people like us to ensure equitable provision of services”.

Ways for Wellbeing UK CIC are looking for sponsors and volunteers from local businesses to support with the Festival.


Volunteering

As a volunteer, you’ll have the opportunity to:

🤝 Assist with event setup and logistics
🎉 Help run activities and workshops
📢 Engage with festival attendees and create a welcoming atmosphere
💼 Gain valuable hands-on experience in event management and accessibility
🌈 Be part of a team dedicated to celebrating diversity and inclusion

No prior experience is necessary – just bring your energy, enthusiasm, and
willingness to make a difference!
