Drinks With a Detective: Offender Profiling & Predatory Criminals
Former Detective Chief Inspector and criminal psychologist Steve Gaskin returns for a gripping evening of criminal insight, following his sold-out Psychology of Serial Killers talk in October 2024. In this session, Steve will explore the art and science behind offender profiling—from crime scene psychology to the real-life methods used by the FBI and UK police. He’ll also take a sobering look at the rise of predatory criminals, using high-profile case studies to illustrate how profiling helps bring offenders to justice.
Attendees will learn how psychological markers at crime scenes are used to narrow suspect pools, how artificial intelligence is shaping modern profiling, and even take home a copy of an official FBI-style offender profile. The session also includes a detailed breakdown of the behaviour and psychology of Wayne Couzens, alongside practical crime prevention tips.
