Network and Drink, our free bi-monthly event will be at Purecraft Bar & Kitchen this July! 

As well as meeting networking with like-minded individuals; this event supports the districts strong leisure and hospitality industry showcasing some of the best venues the district has to offer.

Our Guest Speaker from The West Midlands Anti-Slavery Network will talk about a specific topic for 15 minutes, which was followed by questions and a discussions.

The West Midlands Anti -Slavery Network is an award winning charity aimed at raising the profile of slavery and human trafficking, connecting partners in the region and influencing the local and national agenda. The charity also provides direct support to adult survivors in the West Midlands and Warwickshire, supported by their unique SafePlace and Independent Modern Slavery Advocacy service.

The presentation will highlight many of the issues that are currently seen in Birmingham, some of the challenges, and will evidence how partners can work together to prevent exploitation. It will also highlight how organisations should react when faced with potential cases of slavery and/or trafficking.

The latter is a hidden crime, but it is closer than you think!
