Colmore BID invites you to Arup’s offices from 8.00-9.30 on National Clean Air Day, Thursday 20 June.

The session include:

  • Introduction by Paul Fielding, Deputy Chair of Colmore BID and Chair of the BID Working Group ‘Accessible & Sustainable’.
  • Anna Bright, CEO at Sustainability West Midlands will talk about air quality and the role for all of us and our businesses in improving this and making an impact. Anna will also talk about how her organisation can provide you with networks and information across a very wide range of helpful advice.
  • Mark Smith, Consultant at Aston University will talk about how do we create a clean, lively, creative low carbon city that will attract and retain talented people? Young people in particular now look at what potential employers are doing about climate change. This is an opportunity to find out how your business can benefit from free support and access to funding for low-carbon projects in the workplace and supply network.
  • Eva O’Connor, Associate Director at Arup will talk about the journey of moving Arup back into Birmingham and working with the Paradise developer to create a new home that reflects the Arup expertise in consultancy in sustainable places.

The doors will open at Arup, One Centenary Way, Birmingham B3 3AY at 8.00 for registration.

Tea, Coffee, Pastries and Fruit will be provided to fuel your morning.

Talks will commence at 8.30 and will conclude on or before 9.30.

There will be a few minutes an informal Q&A after the talks.

Arup is offering a tour of the new offices for those interested.
