Colmore History Week
During the first lockdown in 2019 Colmore BID carried out a number of surveys to find out what people want to see from us. One topic that kept coming up was the heritage and history of the Colmore District.
In July 2020 we launched our first Colmore History Week. This was a social media campaign promoting the history of the area. As part of this activity we released our first History Publication called ‘Then and Now’. The document included information on the History of the area as well as a number of videos showing some interesting highlights in the area.
In Summer 2021 we did our second Colmore History Week and launched our second History Magazine. This edition was well received on social media.
Our History Week now falls in with the Birmingham Heritage Fortnight which takes place in September each year.
