Colmore Digital Food Festival launches

Following news that the award-winning Colmore Food Festival has been postponed due to Covid-19, Colmore BID has been busy organising a digital food festival, allowing you to whip up a storm in your own kitchen with help from some of Birmingham’s top chefs.
2020 marked the 10th anniversary of the award-winning free-to-attend food festival, which brings some of Birmingham’s best food and drink into Victoria Square. However, after careful consideration it was deemed best to postpone this year’s physical event
Rather than let the weekend go by without a nod to the festivities, organisers Colmore BID have decided to take the Food Festival online. Starting on Friday 3 July, there will be a programme of online content for you to feast both your eyes and taste buds on. The digital festival will look back at some of the top recipes from across the years. Staff from Opus and The Jekyll and Hyde will talk you through making some of their fantastic cocktails in a series of online tutorials, for you to enjoy in the comfort of your own home.
Colmore Food Festival wouldn’t be the same without live entertainment and Luxury Live Entertainment will be doing just that as they perform from a number of locations across the district, streamed right into your living room.
To make the weekend a memorable one, the BID will also be launching its Colmore Cookbook. This download will give you the recipes to make some of classic Colmore Food Festival dishes in your own kitchen.
