Colmore BID Spreads Christmas Cheer with Donations to Local Charities
30 December 2024
As the festive season finalises, Colmore BID has stepped up to support local families in need by making generous donations to two community organisations: Ladywood Community Centre and First Class Foundation. These contributions are part of an effort to ensure no family went without this Christmas.
In addition to the donated food packages, Colmore BID also donated £200 to Ladywood Community Centre to provide additional support towards food packages and additional vouchers, helping families struggling to put meals on the table during the festive season. The Ladywood Community Project aimed to support 100 households this festive season. These contributions directly impacted local families, offering them some relief and support during a challenging time of year.
Additionally, £200 was donated to First Class Foundation to help fund festive food hampers. Each hamper, costing approximately £30, included essential items such as bread, cereal, fruit, and festive treats like mince pies and biscuits. These hampers are designed to bring a little joy to families facing financial hardship. The Foundation aims to distribute around 50 hampers to local families, and Colmore BID’s contribution helped make this goal a reality.
With the rising cost of living continuing to affect many households, these donations from Colmore BID reflect their commitment to supporting their community and spreading the true spirit of Christmas.
