Opus annonces collaboration with Birmingham Brewing Company

For delivery on Feb 27th and March 6th, Opus has teamed up with Stirchley’s very own micro brewery, Birmingham Brewing Company to bring you a beer tasting flight to accompany a specially created 3 course Opus To You menu. Chef Ben has designed the menu to match the 3 different BBC beers that Will, Opus’ general manager, has chosen.
You can choose the menu with the flight at £40pp or choose the menu without the flight at £30pp.
BBC was established in November 2016 to provide high quality, locally brewed beer to the Birmingham area.
‘Our focus on quality means that we can create unique beers with distinctive flavours. All of our beers are vegan and gluten free.’
Menu choices include
Boneless Cotswold White Chicken Wings, chorizo, Jerusalem artichoke, samphire and lemon;
Yorkshire Blue Cheese Cake, red wine and pear compote, candied walnuts;
Fillet of Wild Brill, pak choi, Thai spiced fragrant coconut broth; Marinated and Grilled Jimmy Butler Pork Cutlet.
The beers:
Pale Brummie, Citrus Ale (4% abv) 330ml
British floor malt combined with British bittering hops and new world citrus hops, producing a thirst quenching freshness. To match the starter course.
Stirchley Lager, Dry Hopped Lager (4.4% abv) 330ml.
British floor malts, dry hopped for pine and citrus undertones to give an uplifting and crisp taste. SIBA Midlands Beer competition Silver winner. To match the main course.
Bitter Brummie, Triple Hopped Brown Ale (4.1% abv) 330ml.
British caramel floor malt with triple hops for bitterness, liquorice and tropical fruit aromas, producing a unique depth and intensity. To match dessert.
