Cyber Crime – What it is and how you can avoid becoming a victim of it
This session is hosted by FSB and The UK Cyber Resilience Centre (CRC) network. Sponsored by the West Midlands CRC and the Wales CRC divisions, it will explore the latest trends and threats in cyber crime and the expert support available to help combat them.
The line up of speakers includes:
Hollie Whittles – Regional Chair of FSB West Midlands,
Nick Bell – Detective Superintendent with the NPCC National Cybercrime Programme and National Policing Director for Cyber Resilience Centres (CRCs),
Michael Preston – serving Detective Inspector with a proven background in investigating Major Incidents and Serious Organised Crime
Hinesh Mehta – serving Police Detective Inspector & representative for WMCRC
Phil Blunden – Cyber Industry Engagement & Communications Lead, Ministry of Defence
The event includes a Q & A session, where we will also be joined by Alison Hurst, Director of the West Midlands Cyber Resilience Centre and Paul Peters, Director of the Cyber Resilience Centre for Wales – for five years Paul led the regional cybercrime unit, successfully investigating cybercrime, prosecuting individuals and also introducing the protect and prevent networks across Southern Wales.
