Christmas in Cathedral Square

This city is starting to look full of the festive spirit, and we’re looking forward to launching Christmas in Cathedral Square with our Christmas Light Switch On on 16 November 2022.  With rotating traders in each week, we’re taking a look at some of the highlights of week three of Christmas in Cathedral Square.
 
We’re sure you’ll have already been to visit the market, but you may still a few gifts to buy.  With this in mind, we have two fantastic jewellery makers joining us on our third week.  Both working with sterling silver, Vicki Marks create stylish necklaces and pendants, whilst Glassy Silver fuse their ready to wear jewellery with fused glass accessories.  Looking for something a little different?  We’re joined by the 6am Club – who have an eclectic mix of homeware and accessories for you to peruse. 
 
This week, we have a maker that’s all about the little ones.  Love Writing have created a range of fun resources and stationery designed to nurture a love of writing in children.  Why not unleash the inner creativity of the child in your life – or at least give them a fun distraction on Christmas day!
 
If you’re looking for a piece of art, then look no further!  Christmas in Cathedral Grounds regular, Steve Woodhams Art is back.  You can buy the designs of the self-taught cubist as prints, mugs, and a range of other accessories.  Or, if you need something with a more personal touch, Little Moo specialize in a range of personalised prints.
 
We know all the shopping is hard work, so why not spice up your visit with a trip to Mumbai Grill.  Bringing a taste of India to Christmas, their popular kebabs, wraps and, most importantly, masala chips are back this year.  Be sure to visit specialists Vagabond Wines for a tipple that will pair nicely with those spicey flavours! If flavour is key to your cooking, why not check out the amazing small-batch vegan sauces from Epicuriosity.  If you need a sugar boost, Wicked Cookies are on hand with their incredibly gooey cookies.  The festive feeling doesn’t have to end as you leave the market.  Taste your way through Birmingham Barn’s craft rum selection, find a favourite, and take a bottle home to enjoy!
