16 July 2024
15:00 - 18:00
The Council House (Ground Floor, Room 2, Victoria Square, Birmingham B1 1BB)

Birmingham City Council is consulting on projects that are within the Colmore Business District area as part of the City Centre Movement and Access Strategy, previously known as City Centre Cells/City Centre Segments.

The two projects are listed thus;

  • Location: Great Charles Street Queensway; A bus gate (in operation 24 hours) with exemptions for cycles and taxis.
  • Location: Colmore Row; A bus gate (in operation 11am-11pm) with exceptions for cycles and taxis.  Church Street will be made one-way southbound.

You are invited to submitted comments via the city council web link here.  Here you can see the wider projects proposed across the city centre.

There is a drop-in session taking place at the Council House to share your views. Birmingham City Council said: “We will be hosting an in-person drop-in session for anyone who would like to see the designs in person and/or speak with the project team. This drop-in session will be taking place on Tuesday 16 July at 3pm – 6pm at The Council House (Ground Floor, Room 2, Victoria Square, Birmingham B1 1BB)”.

Colmore BID will be submitting a response to the consultation before the deadline of 16 August 2024 on behalf of our levy-payers. If you have any thoughts and responses that you want to share, please do email those to philip.singleton@colmorebid.co.uk.
