The Terrorism (Protection of Premises) Act, also known as Martyn’s Law, came into force in April 2025, with the aim of improving the UK’s preparedness for terrorist attacks.

Competent Person in the Workplace

NaCTSO (National Counter Terrorism Security Office) & SFJ Awards announce a new Level 3 Ofqual-regulated “Competent Person in the Workplace” qualification for CT protective security. The launch is expected early 2026.
ACT Awareness E-Learning Course

The ACT (Action Counters Terrorism) Awareness e-Learning course is a free online resources designed for businesses and individuals.
This free training is essential towards becoming legally compliant with the new Terrorism (Protection of Premises) Act 2025. Businesses are strongly recommended to complete this training to improve their security knowledge and best practice. Sign up below.
Regulator

The Security Industry Authority (SIA) has been appointed as the regulator for the Terrorism (Protection of Premises) Act 2025.
In the first instance, their role will be to support and provide advice but, importantly, it will be able to take enforcement action against a businesses, as appropriate to address non-compliance.
