Colmore Food Festival Fringe Workshop & Events
Join us this summer for a vibrant celebration of food, drink, and culture in the heart of Birmingham. As the city’s culinary scene comes to life, Colmore Business District will host two days of flavour-filled festivities, special experiences, and more.
Stay tuned for the full line-up—and if you’re a local venue, there’s still time to get involved.
As one of the standout events in Birmingham’s culinary calendar, the festival will bring thousands of visitors to the Colmore Business District from 11:00 to 20:00 each day. This year, we’re inviting local venues—including bars, restaurants, pubs, cafés, museums, and cultural spaces—to host their own fringe events to complement the festival and showcase their offerings.
Ideas for Fringe Events
There are plenty of ways to get involved, including:
After-hours specials – Exclusive offers for Food Festival attendees, wine tastings, or extended happy hours for the evening crowd.
Live music & entertainment – Acoustic sets, DJs, or spoken word performances scheduled after the close of the festival.
Cultural & arts events – Late night opening or themed exhibitions.
Sip & Paint Nights – Attendees enjoy wine or cocktails while painting food-inspired artwork.
Foodie Quiz Nights – A fun pub quiz with food-related trivia and prizes.
Karaoke & Open Mic Nights – Themed around ‘guilty pleasure’ songs or musical icons.
Food-Themed Film Screenings – A screening of classics like Chef, Julie & Julia, or Ratatouille.
Secret Speakeasy Cocktail Bar – A hidden, password-only pop-up bar for an exclusive experience.
Silent Disco – A dance event in your venue or outdoor space.
If you’re interested in hosting a fringe event, please fill put the form below by Wednesday 30 April 2025, and we’ll help promote it as part of the wider festival programme.
