Colmore Square Garden: Volunteer Planting Day
Be part of something green in the heart of the city! Join us for a volunteer planting session at Colmore Square Garden – a community-driven initiative transforming this key urban space into a lush, biodiverse retreat.
Led by Colmore BID’s Outstanding Places Working Group and supported by the Birmingham and Black Country Wildlife Trust, this project brings vibrant planting, improved landscaping, and new habitats for urban wildlife right into Colmore Square.
What You’ll Be Doing:
- Helping plant new shrubs, perennials, and bulbs to brighten the square.
- Installing bird, bee, and insect boxes to support local wildlife.
- Getting hands-on with soft landscaping improvements that will benefit the community and the environment.
No gardening experience needed, just come ready to dig in and make a difference! It’s a great way to enjoy the outdoors, meet new people, and leave a positive mark on the district.
