Innovation Festival Returns to Birmingham City University
Birmingham City University’s Innovation Festival is back for its twelfth year, running from Monday 19 to Friday 23 May, and it’s set to be the biggest celebration of student creativity and forward-thinking yet.
A highlight of the university calendar, Innovation Fest showcases the talent, ingenuity, and entrepreneurial spirit of students from the Faculty of Computing, Engineering and the Built Environment. It’s more than just a project exhibition — it’s a full-scale experience designed to spark ideas, inspire careers, and forge connections between students and the wider world.
Throughout the week, students present cutting-edge research and real-world solutions developed as part of BCU’s hands-on, innovation-led approach to learning. Supported by academic experts and industry leaders, these future-focused projects offer a glimpse into the next wave of tech, design, and engineering — with potential to change the world, one idea at a time.
Open to industrialists, employers, and entrepreneurs, the festival is also a valuable networking opportunity.
