Public realm in the District
Coronavirus has had a significant impact on public realm work across the country, however work is progressing well on a number of our schemes.
On Colmore Row East, both southern and northern footways are progressing well. The work on the southern footway is soon to switch so that the remainder can have the new finishes and trees applied to match the completed portion. Bus shelter design and installation is currently being co-ordinated. This project is set to complete autumn this year
Our second public realm project is the work taking place on Cornwall Street, which hit delays this year following the discovery of old services in the area that were not previously identified. Works are still progressing and currently, the southern footway is being prepared for finishes and the one-way traffic management system is in place and is expected to persist throughout the works. This project is also on track for an Autumn finish.
