spottydog communications, award-winning Midlands PR agency, has welcomed Twycross Zoo into its growing client portfolio on a retained basis.
Following a competitive pitch process which included four agencies from across the UK, spottydog communications has been hired to provide always-on consumer and trade PR, influencer marketing and crisis & issues consultancy.
The agency, which is part of the integrated marketing communications group Leopard Coalongside creative agency Big Cat, has been briefed to promote Twycross Zoo’s conservation work on a national scale, and drive footfall throughout the year.
Twycross Zoo is an internationally recognised conservation charity and award-winning visitor attraction. Marketing Director, Jamie Turner, said: “spottydog is a Midlands PR powerhouse, famous for delivering impactful PR campaigns time and time again. Their passion for the industry and impressive work ethic perfectly matches our team, and we are excited to see what we can do together to put Twycross Zoo on the map.”
The account will be led by the agency’s PR Director, Laura Rudolph, who said: “We are delighted to partner with Twycross Zoo at an exciting time in the charity’s journey. It is one of the most loved attractions in the region, and has been operating proudly at the heart of the Midlands for over 60 years. Our mission is to make Twycross Zoo famous throughout the country, and we’re really looking forward to demonstrating the impact PR can make.”

Other clients include Heritage Bathrooms, BNP Paribas Personal Finance, Wolseley, Earth Animal and Bristan. Last year the agency was proud to win a national CIPR Excellence Award for Best Long Term Client care for a decade of delivering on behalf of pubco Mitchells & Butlers plc.
