Local Area Traffic Management and Parking Plans

Birmingham city centre will become a central hub for spectators travelling to venues across the region for the entire Games period, including the venues located within the city centre itself, Smithfield and Arena Birmingham.

As a result, it will be busier than normal, particularly at public transport hubs such as Birmingham New Street station. Allow extra time for your journey if you are travelling by public transport.

Event day temporary traffic management and parking restrictions to protect residents, and businesses and to support the venue operations during the games period.
