Stand Together for Women’s Safety: Pop Up Event
Date: Wednesday 8 October 2025
Location: Snow Hill Square, Birmingham
Time: 10:30 – 12:30
🎗 Domestic Violence Awareness Month 🎗
Join Colmore BID on Tuesday 8 October as we come together in solidarity to spotlight the urgent issue of women’s safety during Domestic Violence Awareness Month.
This impactful pop up event will see men and women assembling at Snow Hill Square, standing in silence and holding signs that highlight the realities and challenges faced by women affected by domestic violence.
The signs will feature powerful messages curated in consultation with the Colmore Women’s Safety Forum and our three partner charities:
- WAITS (Women Acting in Today’s Society)
- RSVP Birmingham (Rape & Sexual Violence Project)
- HGT (Hollie Gazzard Trust)
Each sign will also include a QR code linking to a JustGiving page, where attendees and passers-by can donate directly to support these vital organisations.
Who’s Taking Part?
We’re proud to be joined by members of the Colmore Women’s Safety Forum, staff from Colmore BID and trained male allies standing in support.
This event is more than a moment, it’s a message. By standing together in a public space, we aim to:
- Raise awareness of domestic violence and its impact on women
- Encourage conversations around safety, support, and allyship
- Drive donations to charities doing life-changing work
